Oasis inspired by Shetland Museum Textile Collection
Clothing store, Oasis, has launched a new winter range, including knitwear inspired by Shetland Museum and Archives textile collections.
The store's Design Director, Clive Reeve, contacted curator, Dr Carol Christiansen back in February this year with a view to including designs from our Recognised Collection in their winter 2017 range.
Carol worked with their staff and sent images from the collection, along with definitions of what we mean by 'Fair Isle' and how this differs from some of the more common Norwegian patterns.
The results of this work are now available to purchase in Oasis stores, and while they don't follow the traditional colour schemes, they are beautifully vibrant, eyecatching and attractive - perfect for the contemporary Fair Isle lover!

The swing tags on the garments, which also include a dog jacket(!) are also Fair Isle inspired.
