Islet occupation in Shetland: brochs, duns, crannogs

Shetland offers a variety of islet settlement which can be used as control to studies of mainland crannog sites. The talk will cover some initial work surveying (above and below water) these small island structures in Shetland that were occupied through the Iron Age and compare this evidence to what we know about crannogs in mainland Scotland.

This lecture will be delivered by Micheal Stratigos of Archaeology Shetland.
