Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 11:00am - 12:30pm
Shetland Museum & Archives

Join us at Shetland Museum & Archives for a morning of all things Viking!

You will first hear from author Philip Caveny, pen name Danny Weston, as he delves into his fantasy novel based on the island of Unst, Postcards from Valhalla . A unique feature of this publication is that QR codes have been used so that readers can actually visit the locations that feature in the story!

Then, get the chance to see several of our Viking objects found in Unst and other parts of Shetland with our curator of Archaeology, Jenny Murray. This is a unique opportunity to get hands on with the collection and discover what life was like in Shetland during Viking times!

This is suitable for families, children and adults alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
