SOLD OUT - Sp’OO’ky Ghosts - Primary 1-4
Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 10:30am - 12:00pm
Shetland Museum & Archives
Children will create their own sp’OO’ky ghost picture using sheep ‘oo’ (wool). We will be focusing on how our ancestors and lots of people today use ‘cairders’ to card wool and prepare it so that it is ready to be spun and turned into ‘wirsit’ (yarn). We will then use our freshly carded wool to make ghosts.
Parents are welcome to stay for the full workshop. If you are leaving your child for the duration of the workshop, please be sure to fill out a consent form given to you by our team. We encourage parents to stay for the duration of the workshop if they feel their child may need extra support during the activities.
