Trowie Faase Faces - Primary 1-4

Children will sketch their design onto paper before creating their faase face using a variety of crafty materials. Using sheep’s wool, each child will have the opportunity to learn how to card – blending and brushing their wool to the colour and texture they’d like to use for hair, beards etc. for their mask.
This activity will be followed by an adventure to the museum’s ‘trowie knowe’ to see how a trow might live and hear a few famous local stories about these mischievous creatures.
Parents are welcome to stay for the full workshop or attend the trowie stories at the end. If you are leaving your child for the duration of the workshop, please be sure to fill out a consent form given to you by our team. We encourage parents to stay for the duration of the workshop if they feel their child may need extra support during the activities.
