Gallery Activities
Throughout the galleries, there are a number of interactive exhibits suitable for children and adults. Take a virtual tour of the historic Fethaland Fishing Station in the Boat Hall, and explore the buildings and boats around the shore.
Create your own Fair Isle jumper or cardigan design in our textile zone, or put your back into turning the quern in the home and land zone to grind oats.
Dress up activities for children can be found in different areas of the upper gallery. From Victorian costume to dressing as a Viking, with related games and props to really play the part!
A selection of drawing and colouring activities can be found at the naturalists desk in the upper gallery, in addition to a series of activity sheets including scavenger hunts which can be collected from the Foyer to enjoy as you explore the displays. Some of these are also available to download here before your visit (see list on right of page).
